CFL Hall of Famer Don Narcisse left Canada last spring to spend time with his family after being diagnosed with Stage 1 prostate cancer.
The 13-year Roughrider retired 20 years ago but he was sent off with a farewell reception at Capital GMC Buick Cadillac in Regina before heading home. He’s also used his platform to talk to men about getting checked so they could catch any potential issues early.

Narcisse was the ultimate underdog story and he was able to use his success to give back to the community. In 1998, he launched the Catch for Kids program and he hosted the annual Don Narcisse All-Star Event for nearly a decade. I’m willing to bet a lot of kids in Saskatchewan play football because of Narco.
While he’s been with his family in Manvel, Texas, Don has been undergoing treatments that cost $16,000 each. In an effort to give Narcisse and his family some support, Roughrider fan Susan Bazin has started a GoFundMe page to assist with fundraising.
Consider helping out with a donation if you can or if you’re a man over forty, use this as a reminder to get checked.
Thx so much Travis and CFL. Don has given his heart to so many now it’s our turn to give back!!!!! I cried when I read this!!! Thx so much!!!
