Dominique Davis Named RedBlacks Starter

Following Ottawa’s preseason loss to Hamilton on Saturday, Dominique Davis has been named the RedBlacks starter heading into Week 1.

Davis only had 7 pass attempts on Saturday but completed 5 of them for 118 yards. Still, many expected Jonathon Jennings to be the man for the job after he signed with Ottawa back in February.

Davis isn’t exactly new to the CFL spending time with Calgary and Winnipeg before arriving in Ottawa last year. The mobile quarterback with a lively arm completed 24 of his 39 passes last year for 373 yards, 3 touchdowns and an interception.
