CFL to Move Riders/Ticats Start Time

With Golden State’s 106-105 win over the Toronto Raptors Monday night, they have ensured there will be a Game 6 played Thursday night in Oakland.

The same night as the CFL season opener between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The Raptors have been a ratings monster for both TSN and Sportsnet during the playoffs so word is that kickoff for the Roughriders and Tiger-Cats game, originally set for 7:30 P.M. E.S.T., will be moved up to 6:00 P.M. E.S.T.

This has been in the works for weeks and now that a Game 6 (9:00 P.M. E.S.T. tip-off) is official, expect an official announcement from the CFL Tuesday morning.

UPDATE: Officially, start time was moved up half an hour to 7:00 P.M. E.S.T. to minimize overlap between the two games.
