Andrew Harris Suspended

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will be without star running back, Andrew Harris, as he has been suspended for two games after testing positive for the banned substance, Metandienone.

Harris said he was tested three times this year, only testing positive after the third test on July 12th. He has already appealed and his B sample came back positive meaning he will miss the Labour Day Classic and Banjo Bowl.

Mike O’Shea, Wade Miller and several Blue Bomber team-mates, are firmly standing in the corner of Harris following statements released Monday morning.

The timing is not only unfortunate for his team, who are preparing for two games against their biggest rival, but also for Harris personally. He just became the CFL’s all-time Canadian leader in yards from scrimmage and this situation will cause many to question how he’s played at such a high level for such a long time.
